What to report on rounds:
- Blood flow (mL/KG/min) (usually 100-120; machine may report in L/min, normalize to weight)
- FiO2
- Sweep gas (removes CO2, analogous to ventilation, RR and Vt)
- Pre/post membrane pressures (can indicate clotting, increased pressure differential may show “chatter” in ECMO lines)
- Temperature (TTM - report if temp is at goal)
Other - Anticoagulation status
- Hgb/HCT/SvO2
